I enjoyed the material we read this week and the comments from colleagues. I am always open to other educators opinions and thoughts about behaviorism in the classroom. I strive to focus on the positive and reward this behavior instead of focusing on the negative behavior.
I like to use hands-on activities, group work, and projects to reinforce what I am teaching in the classroom. I also like to incorporate technology in my lessons and as a reward for good behavior.

The feedback from this style of class I find to be very nice. I use blogs in my classroom in a similar way. It allows the students reinforcement from thier peers and not just me. It gives them a chance to converse acidemically without the stress of wrongly answering questions in front of the whole class. I find people really open up in this type of format. And when students are open, learning seems to occur naturally.
ReplyDeleteThe book states it is important to give immediate feedback to encourage a student to continue to succeed. Using a reward system for positive behavior helps the student stay motivated. All of the methods you are using in your class seem to be helping your students progress very well in their skills.
